Fitted jackets and trousers were practical for riding and became a symbol of pride and elegance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mariachi groups adopted the look in the twentieth century, and it became part of the music\u2019s identity.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n<section class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"section-1\">The details<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A traditional suit includes a short jacket, fitted trousers, and boots. Rows of silver or gold ornaments, called botonadura, run along the outer seams of the trousers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A wide bow tie, known as a mo\u00f1o, sits at the collar, and a broad-brimmed sombrero completes the outfit for performances.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n<section class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"section-2\">Matching the band<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Groups usually dress alike, which makes the ensemble look unified on stage.
